The 1055 High Carbon steel blade is fully polished and hand sharpened to a razor sharp edge. The robust 10" cutting surface terminates in two sharp points. The longer top point was traditionally used for stabbing, gouging, or parrying, and the slightly shorter bottom point was used to capture an opponent's shield or hook and immobilize a limb. To maximize the Viking Axe's leverage, strength, and dexterity, Cold Steel equipped the axe with a strong and resilient hickory shaft.
