The Colt LE6920-OEM1 is a semi-automatic AR-15 pattern rifle sold as a parts-level build platform, based on the Colt M4 design. It is intended for buyers who want to assemble a customized rifle and choose their own handguard, stock and rear sight.
The rifle has a 16.1-inch barrel and an overall length of 32 inches. It is chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington, uses a 30-round capacity, and has a right-hand action with an aluminum receiver. The finish is matte black and the front sight is an A2 post. The OEM1 is designed to accept most aftermarket drop-in handguards that use the factory barrel nut and retaining ring. A low profile gas block configuration is also offered, as is a version without the handguard retaining ring.
