Colt Commando SBR 5.56mm 11.5" 30-Round NFA

Colt Firearms AR-15 Commando Features The Colt Commando is built on the AR-15 platform and chambered in 5.56 NATO with an 11.5 inch barrel that keeps the overall package compact without sacrificing the reliability Colt rifles are known for. The barrel is threaded and rifled with a 1/7 right hand twist a rate suited to stabilizing a wide range of 5.56 bullet weights from lightweight to heavier loads. Semi auto operation and an effective range rated to 400 meters make this SBR suitable for close quarters work while still offering usable accuracy at intermediate distances. An anodized finish protects the receiver and barrel from wear and corrosion through extended use. Sighting is handled through an adjustable rear sight working in concert with a Picatinny rail receiver top giving the shooter the option to run iron sights alone or add a red dot or magnified optic. Synthetic stock material keeps the rifle light at just 6.21 pounds while a retractable stock lets the overall length shrink to 27.5 inches or extend to 30.75 inches depending on the shooter s needs. One magazine ships with the rifle holding 30 rounds of 5.56 for extended strings of fire. As a factory SBR the Colt Commando is a maneuverable well built platform suited to close quarters training home defense and short barreled rifle enthusiasts.
