Colt ~ Engraved Single Action Army - Gen. 2 ~ .45 Colt

Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver chambered in .45 Colt. 1973 estimated year of manufacture. Subsequently attractively embellished by the talented artisan Leo R. Ferguson of Lubbock, Texas, who is well-known for producing engraving on miniature firearms. The barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, and back strap all show very attractively executed floral scrollwork with stippled backgrounds, as well as a fan motif at the top of the back strap, and gold inlaid bands at the muzzle and rear of the cylinder. Fitted with a one-piece ivory grip with a coiled rattlesnake in a desert scene scrimshawed on the right. Includes a letter from Ferguson dating to 2001 that lists the revolver by serial number and notes the cost of the embellishment.
