Description
This Colt Frontier Six Shooter dates to 1906. The Frontier Six Shooter name was first used in 1878 to differentiate between the .45 caliber "Peacemaker" and the .44- 40 caliber revolver. Built on the frame of the Colt Single Action Army, the Bisley was designed to meet the demands of shooters competing in the Bisley pistol matches in Great Britain. The key differences were a lowered and wider hammer spur and distinctive humped, inward curving grips. This example has lost it's finish but functions as it should. There is no rust or pits on the metal.
