On August 2, 1876, legendary gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok met his end in a saloon in Deadwood, Dakota Territory. While playing poker, Hickok was shot, holding a pair of black aces and black eights. That fateful hand and Hickok's legend would forever be woven into the mythology of the Old West, a world defined by courage and risk. Nearly eighty years later, Colt embodied that same spirit when it introduced the Colt Python in 1955 - a revolver that set new standards for precision, craftsmanship, and mechanical excellence. Today, the Python continues to bridge eras, uniting the frontier's grit with the precision of modern engineering.
