This Colt Model Python is a 6 shot nickel-plated steel double action revolver in .357 Magnum Cal. Plated in electroless nickel, it has a 6 inch barrel with a ventilated rib. A blade front sight with red and an adjustable white outline notch rear sight. The grip is a Pachmayr "Gripper" which is a checkered black rubber with finger grooves and a golden colt horse medallion. Electroless Nickel plating was only used by Colt for two years.
