Colt Single Action Army 2nd Gen 38 Special Revolver

Classic American craftsmanship meets timeless styling with this Colt Single Action Army chambered in .38 Special. Featuring a desirable "SA" suffix serial number (27166SA), this revolver was manufactured in 1978, placing it in the early years of Colt's Second Generation SAA production. This example stands out with a striking color case-hardened frame, richly blued barrel and cylinder, and iconic black Colt grips with the Rampant Colt medallion. The barrel is marked "Colt Single Action Army .38 Special," confirming its factory chambering. Condition appears very good overall, with clean metal surfaces and strong, attractive finishes that highlight the revolver's classic lines. A sought-after blend of shootability and collectibility, this Colt SAA offers the feel of the Old West with modern-era production quality. Whether added to a collection or enjoyed on the range, this is a fine example of one of Colt's most legendary revolvers.
