For your consideration, the Colt Trooper MK III revolver chambered in .22 LR. The Trooper MKIII was produced from 1969 to 1983 and was the new 'J' Frame medium revolver. This line also included the Lawman, Metropolitan Police and Border Patrol models. This model is a "Y" prefix which were produced during the late 1970s to the early 1980s, this one likely was made in 1980 or 1981.
