The CompMag is fixed magazine device for shooters in states with "Assault Weapon" restrictions such as California. This device is a 10-round, fixed, loadable magazine that locks into the firearm. This solution creates an ammunition feeding device that is attached to the firearm that cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action.The Gen 3 CompMag automatically locks into place once inserted into the firearm. Using the CompMag allows you to keep features such as the pistol grip, telescoping stock, forward grip and flash hider.The CompMag features easy installation, round count indicator, last round bolt hold open, and allows for easy type 3 malfunctions.COMPATIBILITY:DPMS/SR25 compatible.Compatible ammunition: 7.62X51 / .308 / 6.5 Creedmoor / 8.6 Blackout / .277 FuryCompatible with standard AR-10 type lowers.MCX Spear compatible.Some magwells may be tighter than others. Installation can be made easier if you push the CompMag in against the locking wheel to keep the back end of the mag flat against the back of the magwell. This keeps the CompMag from tilting in the magwell and helps it go in straight.For receivers with Cerakoted magwells we recommend roughing up or removing the Cerakote inside the magwell where the locking wheel sits when the CompMag is inserted. You can easily do this with a bit of sandpaper. Cerakote is a slick, hard surface and will prevent the locking wheel from engaging so it must be removed for the mag to lock in properly.NOT compatible with lowers that have a custom or extended magazine well. It will work with the Ruger 5610 even though the magwell is not a standard shape.NOT compatible with H&K MR 7.62 or SCAR17 due to their use of proprietary magazines (not AR-10 magazines).We have had mixed reviews when using the CompMag on the LMT MWS 6.5 Creedmoor and the LMT MWS Mars-H. Lately the reviews have been positive.
