Brazilian Mauser DWM ~ Model 1908 ~ 7mm

This is a 1908 DWM Mauser rifle that was produced by DWM For the Brazilian Army in 1908. . The top of the receiver ring has the Brazilian crest. The left side of the receiver is marked "270" and "DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN OBERNDOREAN". The right side is marked "Mod. 1908". The Mauser Model 1908 became the standard infantry rifle for the Brazilian Army in 1908. These rifles were produced by DWM. DWM then in turn contracted some of these rifles out to Mauser Oberndorf. The only difference between the two rifles would be the maker's address. If marked Berlin, it was made by DWM, and if marked Oberndorf, it was made by Mauser. The overall condition is good with normal handling wear. The bore is bright and nicely rifled. This example has maintained a solid stock with less than average wear. Legible markings throughout. Matching serial numbers. The barrel is "CAI" and "GERMANY" import marked.
