Dexter-Russell Basics 6" Flexible Fillet Knife

Dexter Basics Flexible Narrow Boning Knife Features The Dexter Outdoors Basics Flexible Narrow Boning Knife features a 6 inch high-carbon steel blade ground narrow and flexible to maneuver tightly around bones in meat and fish. This flexibility lets the user follow the contour of a bone or fillet a fish with minimal waste something a stiffer blade struggles to do cleanly. A polished blade finish combined with a Rockwell hardness of 54 gives the edge a good balance of sharpness and ease of resharpening over repeated use. The plain edge is well suited to the smooth controlled cuts that boning and filleting both demand. The polypropylene and Santoprene handle is designed to resist slipping even when hands are wet or covered in fish slime an important safety feature in a kitchen or on a boat. At an overall length of 11.25 inches the knife offers enough reach for larger cuts of meat while remaining easy to control for detail work. NSF certification confirms this knife meets recognized food safety and sanitation standards giving both home cooks and commercial users confidence in its construction. Anglers cleaning a catch and cooks breaking down meat in the kitchen will both find this Dexter Outdoors boning knife a dependable affordable tool for the task.
