Hornady LeverEvolution 45-70 Government 325 Grain FlexTip Rifle Ammo - 200 round case

This 45-70 Government cartridge from Hornady's LEVERevolution line of ammunition features a 325 grain FTX projectile. The bullet's soft Flex Tip initiates rapid expansion upon impact when it compresses deep within its underlying core, and further streamlines its profile along with its secant ogive shape in order to enhance its accuracy. The FTX additionally sports an InterLock ring which mechanically locks its high antimony lead core and heavy jacket together, providing optimal weight retention as the bullet expands during penetration. This cartridge's elastomer tip absorbs shock while it is loaded in a lever action rifle's tubular magazine, virtually eliminating the chance of a magazine ignition. The round's propellant is formulated to maximize its bullet's trajectory, a welcome feature given the 45-70 caliber's tendency to deliver a steep drop. With the safety it offers coupled with its superior downrange and terminal performance, this is a great choice for your rifle if you're taking it in pursuit of elk.
