Description
The DoubleTap Equalizer Home Defense is a 9mm Luger +P cartridge built around a two-projectile load. The front bullet is a jacketed hollow point, followed by a hardcast lead disk in the back that is gas checked and rated at 21 Brinell. The load is intended for self-defense use, with the manufacturer stating that the two projectiles create separate wound channels that group tightly out to 25 yards.
The 165 grain loading has a listed muzzle velocity of 995 feet per second and uses brass cases. Each box holds 20 rounds, and cases contain 50 boxes. The manufacturer advises against use with suppressors.
