For sale is a DPMS Panther Arms A-15 "Mini SASS." The Mini SASS is an AR-15-pattern rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and designed as a smaller-frame version of DMPS's Gen II SASS AR-10 rifle in .308 Winchester. Built to be a precision-oriented semi-auto sniper system, the rifle features a heavy 18" fluted bull barrel made of stainless steel and coated in black teflon for a more uniform tactical appearance. The barrel features a 1:8 twist rate, capable of stabilizing all common .223-caliber projectiles. The barrel is capped with an AAC Blackout 2-port muzzle brake/suppressor mount. The rifle operates with a mid-length gas system, offering proven, reliable cycling and softer recoil, prolonging the longevity of the rifle and components. The bolt carrier is also a semi-auto-only AR-15 cut. This Mini SASS has been outfitted with a Nikon Monarch 3-12x42mm scope with flip-up scope caps and mounted in 1" rings atop a 1" picatinny riser. Accompanying the scope is a set of 45-degree canted iron sights with adjustments on both the front and rear sights. The stock handguard has been replaced with a 16" full-length free-floating handguard with picatinny and HK-style attachment systems. The handguard holds an EMA Tactical extended handstop and a folding adjustable bipod. The rifle features a stock adjustable JP Enterprises single-stage trigger for precise shot placement, an ambidextrous safety selector, mil-spec charging handle, and added Magpul BAD lever for ambidextrous bolt manipulation. Finally rounding out the package are a Magpul PRS stock with adjustments for comb height and length of pull and a stock DPMS PSG-style target pistol grip. This DPMS Mini SASS is a heavy weapon system, weighing in at 12 lbs 12 oz! But, it serves as a fantastic platform for a semi-auto 5.56 precision rifle and would serve very well as a secondary sniper spotting rifle, varmint hunter, or a precision gas gun training/target rifle for matches. The condition of this rifle is very good, with a clean bore and perfect operation of components. This rifle is a fully-equipped package and ready to zero at the range!
