Description
The Ed Brown Flat Mainspring Housing is a drop-in replacement grip component for 1911 Government pistols. It is fully machined from solid steel and finished in blue, with machine-cut checkering across the housing to give added purchase for wet or gloved hands. The flat profile is intended to keep the correct grip angle of the 1911 frame.
This drop-in housing includes an attached Maxi-Well that mounts to the bottom of the housing. It can be removed without disassembling the pistol, and the two-piece design allows the firearm to run in standard configuration or with the Maxi-Well attached for faster magazine changes. No grip modifications are needed for installation.
Housing only. Mainspring and pins are not included.
