The EGW Remington 700, 722 and 40x long action Heavy Duty scope bases provide the versatility of a one-piece picatinny scope rail for your shotgun, eliminating the requirement for drilling or tapping. These bases are precision-machined from extruded aluminum and feature picatinny slot-and-rail spacing, allowing for quick and easy adjustments to eye relief, thereby offering considerable flexibility in scope selection. They are pre-drilled to align with the factory scope mount holes on the firearm's receiver and are compatible with both picatinny and weaver scope rings. The Heavy Duty mounts are engineered to be 0.100 inches lower than the lightweight mounts, reducing weight and positioning the optic closer to the barrel centerline to improve accuracy. The full-width cross-slots are manufactured to MIL-STD 1913 specifications with a tolerance of +/-0.002 inches.
