Description
This is a great example of a German game shotgun and rifle combination chambered in 16x16 - 7.7x57mm, made by Emil Kerner & Sohn. The 16 gauge barrels are chambered for 2 1/2" 16 gauge cartridges with a single extractor that does both the shotgun and rifle. The solid flat top barrel rib is checkered with a fancy design and claw mounts for the "CARL ZEISS / JENA / Zielvier / Nr 54152" scope. The rear sight also folds from a switch on the top tang. The front sight is a brass bead on a blade with a folded white bead in front of the brass bead. The chokes are a fixed "Full" on left barrel and "Modified" on the right. The bottom of the rifle barrel is marked with the serial number "6079". The coin finished action is near full coverage engraved with punch dot shaded floral scroll with a fox and ducks on left and deer on right side. The action is also fitted with disc set strikers, cross bolt lock, Greener side safe, cocking indicator, and double triggers. The bottom of the action is also engraved with vignette. The stock set is a two piece dark European walnut stock with diamond shaped drop points, finely checkered pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap, sling loops, splinter forend, cheek piece on left side, and an engraved ammo trap door towards toe. The trigger guard and butt plate are done in horn.
