EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base uses full-length Picatinny cross-slots that run the entire length of the rail giving the shooter flexibility when positioning scope rings or other accessories for the correct eye relief. A center channel milled into the base reduces overall mass and in many cases keeps the mount from obstructing factory iron sights. EGW machines this base in-house then tumbles sand blasts and Type II anodizes it for long lasting durability in field conditions. The 20 MOA of built-in elevation is suited to shooting from roughly 500 to 1000 yards extending the usable elevation range of the scope well beyond a flat 0 MOA mount. A matte black finish on the aluminum body resists glare and blends with the Winchester XPR s factory finish while the beveled ambidextrous design accommodates right- and left-hand shooters alike. EGW recommends zeroing a rifle mounted with this 20 MOA base at 200 yards to make the most of the available elevation travel. Installation calls for 20 inch-pounds of torque and a drop of blue thread locker to keep the mount secure under recoil.
