It is built specifically to work with any long action round back Savage receiver that has an ejection port fitting with #8-40 screws designed for that pattern. A matte black hardcoat finish resists wear and glare keeping the base from standing out against the rifle s factory finish. At just 2 ounces and 6.850 inches overall length the base adds minimal weight or bulk to the rifle while providing a full-length Picatinny mounting surface. The base accepts standard Picatinny or Weaver scope rings and is quick disconnect ring compatible giving the shooter the option to quickly remove and remount an optic without losing zero.
