Description
The Faxon Match Series Heavy Fluted is a 20-inch AR-15 barrel chambered in 223 Wylde, intended for shooters who want a match-oriented upper with a fluted profile. It is machined in-house from 416R stainless steel and finished with black nitride for durability.
The barrel uses 1:8 twist 5R hybrid rifling with reduced sharp angles to limit jacket deformation, and it has an 11-degree target crown. The hybrid chamber is designed to reduce bullet jump. The barrel is particle inspected and MPI inspected.
It fits AR-15 rifle-length gas systems and includes an M4 barrel extension with a nickel Teflon coating intended to tighten the fit to the receiver.
