Faxon Firearms Ion Ultralight 5.56 NATO 16" 30-Round Rifle

Faxon Firearms Ion Ultralight Features The Faxon Firearms Ion Ultralight is built around a patented integral muzzle device pencil profile barrel a design that combines a thin barrel contour with a built-in muzzle brake to save weight while still delivering exceptional accuracy and reduced recoil. This 16-inch 5.56 NATO barrel gives the rifle its ultralight character making it well suited to long-range shooting and precision target practice where fatigue over a match day matters. A Hiperfire EDTDM trigger is included from the factory providing a crisp competition-tuned trigger pull right out of the box. The Radian Ambi Talon 45/90 safety and ambidextrous charging handle give shooters fast tool-free manipulation from either shoulder. A Faxon Gunner lightweight M16 bolt carrier group reduces reciprocating mass for softer cycling and less felt recoil complementing the rifle s already light overall weight of 6.10 pounds. The 13-inch carbon fiber M-LOK handguard shaves additional ounces from the front end while still providing full-length mounting space for lights grips and bipods. An adjustable gas block allows fine-tuning of the gas system for different ammunition or suppressed use and the black nitride finished barrel and receiver resist corrosion under repeated firing. Machined in-house at Faxon s Greater Cincinnati facility and backed by their Lifetime Guarantee the Ion Ultralight gives competitive shooters a genuinely lightweight precision-built 5.56 platform.
