Its lack of any steel makes it nonmagnetic."RN" simply denotes this FMJ's round nose profile, which does make it ever so slightly more ballistically efficient but which otherwise doesn't noticeably impact performance. (Most 9mm FMJ bullets are round nose; we're not sure why Federal decided to indicate that this ammo's bullets are RN specifically, but who are we to second guess the old Minnesotan legend?)This round's bullet weighs in at 115 grains - the lightest bullet you're likely to find on a a 9mm target load, and one which achieves a 1,125 fps muzzle velocity out of a 4" test barrel.
