FNX pistols are hammer-driven (as opposed to the striker-fired operation of the FN FNS series), double-/single-action, and feature fully-ambidextrous magazine release, slide stop lever, and safety/de-cocking levers, as well as stainless steel slide and barrel, a polymer frame with interchangeable back-straps, and a MIL-STD 1913 rail beneath the barrel for mounting of lasers and tactical lights. Available in three calibers: 9mm, .40 S& W, and .45 ACP.
