FN ~ Supreme ~ Mauser ~ 270 Winchester

This is a very nice example of an FN Supreme Mauser in 270 Winchester with a 24" barrel. The top of the receiver is marked "FN in an oval". The right side of the receiver, the right side of the barrel shank and the underside of the bolt handle are all marked with the serial number "21814". The left side of the receiver and barrel shank are marked with Belgian proofs. The left side of the receiver is also marked "FAB. NAT. D'ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTALBELGIQUE". The left side of the barrel shank is marked ".270 CAL.". The right side of the barrel is marked "MADE IN BELGIUM". The front sight is a hooded beaded blade set atop a ramped base. The rear sight is a fully adjustable Armstrong aperture with the hidden allen wrench. It is marked "0 15 30 45 60" on the right and "0" on the top. The top of the receiver has been drilled, tapped & filled with 2 screws. The stock is finely checkered oil finished walnut with cheek piece, caped pistol grip, and a serrated hard rubber buttplate marked "FN in an oval". The stock is also equipped with sling swivels on the belly and forend.
