Description
The Fortis Manufacturing Switch Mod 1 is a 13.8-inch M-LOK handguard for AR-15 upper receivers, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black hard-coat anodized finish. It uses a tool-less locking mechanism operated by a 7075-T6 aluminum locking handle, allowing the handguard to be removed and reinstalled without tools for quick configuration changes.
The handguard has a continuous top rail spanning its full length for mounting optics and accessories, and M-LOK slots at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions plus an off-set location near the front. It has a 1.34-inch internal diameter and weighs 9.4 ounces.
The package includes a 4140 heat-treated barrel nut sized 1-7/16 inch by 16 TPI, intended for a compatible AR-15 upper.
