Description

The JMW tool is the latest addition to our range of specialized, high-quality AR-15/M16 tools. It features a dual-function wrench - one side is a 3/4 inches wrench with a 0.23 inches thickness for the A2 compensator and the other side is a 3/4 inches wrench with a 0.2 inches thickness for Keymo and Key Micro mounts, including models like our 6315KM, 6310KM, SOLGW's NOX and Dead Air's flash suppressors, compensators and brakes. The 0.2 inches side is also compatible with other suppressor mounts that have flats thinner than the A2 specification (0.23 inches). The JMW tool adheres to the established JCW (joint castle nut wrench) design, offering a compact form factor intended for use with a torque wrench (1/2 inches drive). Most armorer's wrenches feature a relatively thick 3/4 inches wrench for torqueing the A2 compensator. While this is sufficient for the A2 compensator, it poses a challenge for muzzle devices with flats thinner than the A2 specification, as the armorer's wrench often lacks the necessary clearance and is too thick for the flats positioned between the barrel and the muzzle device's sound suppressor mounting interface. Additionally, some muzzle alignment shims may have a slightly larger outer diameter than the barrel, complicating the use of a standard 3/4 inches wrench for torqueing these muzzle devices. The thinner side of the JMW's 3/4 inches wrench, with a 0.2 inches thickness, is specifically designed for muzzle devices with flats thinner than the A2 compensator specification, such as Dead Air's Keymo, Key Micro suppressor mounts and Surefire suppressor mounts. The tool is billet machined from 4140 steel, heat-treated and finished with a black oxide coating. It also features laser-engraved recommended torque values (20 to 30 ft/lb) for user convenience. JMW, similar to the CBW (combined barrel nut wrench) and JCW (joint castle nut wrench), necessitates the use of a torque wrench with a 1/2 inches drive JMW represents a collaborative initiative between Arson machines and forward controls design Manufactured in the United States
