Garmin Alpha 10 Handheld Dog Tracking Device

Garmin Alpha 10 Features The Garmin Alpha 10 gives hunters flexibility in how they track and train their dogs working as a standalone handheld paired with a compatible smartphone or linked to other Garmin dog tracking collars sold separately. When connected to compatible collars it can monitor up to 20 dogs simultaneously across a range of up to 9 miles depending on the collar in use updating positions every 2.5 seconds for close to real-time awareness of where every dog is in the field. The unit includes 18 levels of stimulation with different tones and vibration patterns giving handlers precise control for training commands. A pro view compass mode helps hunters navigate back to a truck blind or stand without relying solely on GPS waypoints and Bluetooth plus ANT+ wireless connectivity keep the handheld linked to compatible collars and devices in the field. A sunlight-readable screen keeps the display visible in bright outdoor conditions common during hunts. The Alpha 10 pairs with the Garmin Explore smart-device app letting a handler view real-time dog tracking information from a smartphone save collections of dog tracks and replay tracks later to review exactly what happened during a hunt. An internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to 40 hours of runtime charged through a micro USB connection and the unit is built waterproof for use in wet field conditions. Included accessories such as a belt clip carabiner clip spine mount with wrench kit and micro USB cable round out a package built for hunters who rely on dependable dog tracking and training equipment.
