Geissele Reaction Rod AR-10 Vise Block

The Geissele Reaction Rod for AR-10 and SR25 pattern rifles is a gunsmithing tool for removing and installing barrels, flash hiders, gas blocks and handguards. The rod is gripped in a bench vise, horizontal or vertical, and the upper receiver slides onto it.

The rod has integral splines that engage the barrel extension to keep it from turning. Torque from barrel nut wrenches goes directly into the barrel extension rather than the aluminum receiver, which avoids distorting the receiver index pin. The rod is made of black steel. Because it holds the upper by the barrel extension, it also removes the need to strip sights and mounts from the M1913 rail and prevents marring of the upper's finish.

It is compatible with SR25 pattern and DPMS/LR308 pattern uppers and with AR10 pattern uppers chambered in 308 Winchester or 7.62x51mm NATO. It is not compatible with DPMS G2 or DD5 V pattern receivers.
