The GLOCK 38 is a compact semi-auto pistol, shooting the .45 GAP cartridge, specifically designed for concealed carry use. The GLOCK 38 has a frame made out of the same high-strength polymer as other full-sized GLOCK semi-automatic pistols. The frame has checkering on the front and back straps, providing a non-slip surface; finger grooves on the front strap; and a finger rest on the front of the trigger guard, aiding in fire control. An integral Picatinny rail sits forward of the trigger guard for the attachement of tactical accessories. The Safe-Action trigger system makes shooting in high-stressed situations infallible. The milled steel slide and the barrel are treated with matte black gas nitride finish for extreme resistance to wear and corrosion. Fixed front and rear sights interfere minimally when drawing the pistol from a bag or a holster. All GLOCK pistols fieldstrip easily without the use of tools.
