The Griffin Armament M4SD Flash Comp is a muzzle device for 5.56x45mm NATO rifles that combines the functions of a muzzle brake, a tactical compensator and a flash suppressor. It is built from 17-4 stainless steel with a black nitride finish and attaches with a Gate-LOK quick-disconnect mount.
The device has a 1/2"-28 thread pitch and an overall length of 2.21 inches. It is designed for Griffin M4SD, M4SDK, M4SD2 and 30SD Series suppressors and for non-SBR M4 carbine builds. The manufacturer recommends host barrels of 14.5 inches or longer for optimal flash reduction.
The package includes a shim set and an over-travel stop washer for mounting to a suppressor. The over-travel stop tab should be positioned at the 6 o'clock position on the muzzle device.
