Grizzly Ammo 45-70 Government +P 460gr Wide Long Nose Gas Check 20 Rounds

Grizzly Ammo .45-70 Gov Features Grizzly Ammo s .45-70 Government load uses a 460 grain Wide Long Nose Gas Check bullet a heavy-for-caliber design intended to maximize penetration on large and dangerous game. The gas check fitted to the bullet s base shields it from the hot high-pressure gases generated at +P pressure levels helping the bullet maintain its shape and deliver consistent accuracy shot to shot. At 1850 fps this load generates 3496 ft-lbs of muzzle energy a substantial increase over standard-pressure .45-70 loads and among the most powerful commercially available options in the cartridge. Loaded into brass cases this +P ammunition is intended for rifles rated for elevated .45-70 pressures such as modern lever-action and single-shot rifles built with stronger actions than the original trapdoor-era guns. The wide long nose profile of the bullet is designed to punch a large straight wound channel through heavy muscle and bone making it a serious choice for hunters pursuing bear bison or other dangerous game. Grizzly Ammo builds this line specifically for hunters who need every bit of performance their .45-70 rifle can safely deliver.
