The GrovTec G-Comp is a compensator for 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP. It attaches to the muzzle of a threaded barrel and is intended to reduce muzzle flip, helping the shooter stay on target through strings of fire in competition or defensive use.
The unit is machined from black-oxide steel and finished with nitride for added surface hardness, which the manufacturer states helps it resist holster wear and corrosion. Its 1/2x28 thread pattern matches the standard pitch used on threaded 1911 barrels chambered in .45 ACP.
