Back in 1975, Helle launched a knife that would in many ways change how we thought about knives in Scandinavia. In collaboration with Tor Indergaard, they created a new knife where the blade was only half as long as was common at the time. This small, new invention was called the Helle Fjording. This model carved the way for the Nying, and as they say - the rest is history.To mark the 50 year anniversary of this important event for Helle, they dedicate their 2025 Limited Edition Knife to the Fjording 50 aar.The Fjording 50 aar (translation: Fjording 50 years) preserves many of the defining, innovative features of the original design. It has the same, short and stubby blade shape and contoured handle that means it excels at carving and woodworking.
