Description
The single-action Rough Rider revolver from Heritage Arms Manufacturing has been a favorite range toy for many shooters, offering a very affordable product that is similarly cheap to feed and simple in its design and operation. The Rough Rider is a rough clone of a Colt Single-Action Army revolver, but chambered for rimfire .22 calibers. One design difference with the Rough Rider is the inclusion of a manual safety lever next to the hammer, which acts as a hammer block to prevent the hammer from impacting the firing pin and discharging the gun. The Barkeep revolver is the same as gun as the Rough Rider, only with a significantly shortened 2 ¾" "snub-nose" barrel. The grip, however, remains the same classic shape and size, though smaller birdshead grip variants exist in the Barkeep Boot model. This piece features plastic grey pearloid plastic "Grey Pearl" grip panels. The included cylinder is capable of firing .22 Long Rifle cartridges, though .22 Long and .22 Short cartridges should have no problem firing through this cylinder; .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (WMR)/.22 Magnum cylinders are also available separately from Heritage Arms. The sights consist of a molded grooved frame for a rear sight, paired with a Patridge front blade sight. This little pistol features a medium amount of finish wear, but has no damage done to the frame or barrel and features a good-condition barrel and action. This Heritage Barkeep includes a cleaning rod, cable lock, and the user manual and warranty information. No box or case is included.
