Description
The Hogue Monogrip is an overmolded rubber grip for Colt J-frame and related short-frame revolvers, designed to replace the factory wood or plastic panels. It is intended for shooters who want a firmer, more controlled hold on a compact revolver.
The grip is made of soft rubber with a textured, cobblestone (stippled) surface that improves control under recoil. It is black in color. The model is a conversion grip, which changes the feel of a round butt frame to a square butt or the reverse.
The grip fits post-1966 short-frame revolvers, including the Colt Detective Special, Diamondback, DSII, Lady Special, Magnum, Police Positive Special, SF-VI, Agent, Cobra, and Viper, with steel frames from serial D900101 and up or aluminum lightweight frames from serial 200101LW and up. It will not fit pre-1966 longer frames. Measure from the rear sideplate screw to the grip stock pin: about 2 5/8 inches indicates the short frame.
