Holosun SCS Green Dot Sight for Walther PDP SCS-PDP-GR

The Holosun SCS PDP is a solar recharging direct mount pistol optic that fits directly on a Walther PDP 2.0 slide cut or Walther PDP F-Series. The "SCS" (Solar Charging Sight) series from Holosun is an innovative design that gives this optic an internal rechargeable battery with a 20K hour power reserve, a solar panel that recharges the battery, and a sleek low profile footprint designed specifically for the PDP 2.0 slide cut and the PDP F-Series. The end result is that you get a very sleek, very low profile optic that allows you to co-witness your low iron sights, lets you match the look and aesthetic of your pistol, and allows you to eliminate the need for using adapter plates by attaching directly to your optics cut slide. This optic will fit directly on the slide of any Walther PDP or PDP Compact with a 2.0 optic cut, or the PDP F-Series. No adapter plates are needed. The SCS PDP is made out of 7075 T6 Aluminum, it has a green MRS Reticle (multi reticle system), and has a super low profile design. The MRS reticle features a 32 MOA outer ring and a 2 MOA center dot. The SCS PDP has advanced ambient and downrange light sensors. It has an auto brightness setting and a manual override setting in which you can press the side button and get increased brightness for 30 minutes if ever needed. The solar charging tech works like this. The battery stores power, in this case it can store 20K hours of reserve, the solar panel charges the battery. With this system, the solar panel charges the battery faster than the battery drains. This means that you have a theoretically infinite battery life. These optics do not come with "shake awake", they are intended to remain on all the time - a true set and forget it type of optic. (Although you can turn them off if you like)The battery charges with both natural and artificial light. If you were to go to the range one time per year, that is enough to charge the battery from zero to full. If you were to then put it inside of a safe with zero light, the battery would last for 2 years. This optic has a green reticle. Green has a few benefits: Green reticles are less straining for the eye to see. Green reticles can help with astigmatism. If you have astigmatism you will see a blurry dot, we have been told by a few customers that Green dots help with their astigmatism, making the dot look more crisp than the red version. Green will not washout on backdrops like green grass, foliage, or green colors. In theory Green dots can have a longer battery life because Green is brighter, so for example a green dot on brightness setting 6 may be the same brightness as a red dot on setting 7 - which would save battery life.
