Horizon Firearms Vandal DM 6.5 Creedmoor 18" Rifle

Horizon Firearms Vandal DM Features The Horizon Firearms Vandal DM marks the company s first-ever chassis rifle pairing a robust aluminum XLR Element 4.0 chassis with a premium steel barrel for a rifle built specifically for competition shooting. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor the 18 barrel is spiral fluted and threaded reducing weight while improving heat dissipation during strings of fire on the clock. A 1:8 twist rate stabilizes the full range of common 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights and the black chrome finish on both barrel and receiver adds a layer of corrosion resistance beyond standard bluing. An Iota Sim Brake tames recoil and muzzle rise keeping the shooter on target for faster follow-up shots. The XLR Element 4.0 chassis includes an integrated Picatinny rail on the receiver along with an integrated ARCA rail giving competitors mounting options for optics bipods and other accessories without needing separate adapters. A TriggerTech trigger delivers the crisp consistent break that competition shooting demands and the polymer grip offers a comfortable repeatable hold shot after shot. Feeding from AICS pattern magazines with a 5+1 capacity the rifle uses a widely supported magazine standard rather than a proprietary design. At 8.13 lbs the Vandal DM carries enough heft to stay settled on target while remaining practical to carry and maneuver during a match or field session.
