Hornady ELD-X 257 Cal 128gr Rifle Bullets 100 Count

Hornady ELD-X 25 Cal rifle bullets give handloaders an accurate, all-range hunting projectile with a .257 diameter and 128 grain weight. These reloading bullets are sold 100 to a box under item HO25417. They are made for hunters who build their own rounds and want controlled expansion at every practical hunting distance. The ELD-X pairs match-grade accuracy on paper with dependable terminal performance in the field. That balance is why it has become a go-to component for shooters building precise .257 hunting loads at the bench. The design starts at the tip. The ELD-X uses Hornady's Heat Shield tip, a polymer tip verified by Doppler radar that stays immune to aerodynamic heating and holds its shape downrange. The tip is designed to keep its form, so the bullet maintains its ballistic coefficient across its trajectory. This means that your drop and wind calls hold true at distance.A streamlined secant ogive and boattail design cut drag and support the high BC that lets this 128 grain bullet shoot flat downrange. Underneath, the ELD-X has concentric AMP jackets engineered for controlled, reliable expansion at all practical hunting ranges. On a .257 caliber bullet at 128 grains, you get precision on the target and clean terminal results on game.Hornady recommends a 1-7.5"" barrel twist rate to stabilize this bullet, so confirm your rifle before you start loading. This listing is for the component bullet you seat yourself, and the same ELD-X projectile is also offered in Hornady's factory-loaded Precision Hunter ammunition.Product SpecificationsManufacturer: HornadyBullet line: ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding)Item number (SKU): HO25417Manufacturer product number: 25417UPC: 090255254174Product type: rifle reloading bullets, a component you load yourselfReloading caliber: 25 Cal / .257 CalBullet diameter: .257""Grain weight: 128 grBullet type: polymer HeatShield tip with boattail designBullet material: jacketed leadRecommended barrel twist rate: 1-7.5""Count: 100 bullets per boxLead free: NoFor handloaders building all-range hunting loads in .257, these Hornady ELD-X rifle bullets bring the accuracy of a match projectile and the downrange terminal performance a hunt demands.
