Description
The Hornady A-Tip Match is a 230 grain bullet for .308 Winchester reloading, intended for target shooting. It has a lead core, a copper jacket and a precision machined aluminum tip, and it is sold in boxes of 100.
The aluminum tip is longer than polymer tips, which moves the center of gravity and aids in-flight stability. The boattail and ogive are designed for a low drag coefficient, which Hornady states was verified with Doppler radar. The bullet is described as forgiving of twist rate, seating depth and muzzle velocity.
