Description
Hornady Outfitter 338 Win Mag ammunition is loaded for hunting with a 225 grain CX bullet. The CX is a monolithic copper alloy expanding bullet, so it does not rely on a separate core and jacket to hold together on impact. Hornady rates it at 95 percent weight retention.
The bullet has a Heat Shield polymer tip that is designed to resist aerodynamic heating and keep a consistent ballistic coefficient over the bullet's flight. Each round is loaded with nickel-plated brass cases, boxer-primed and non-corrosive. Rated muzzle velocity is 2800 feet per second. Each box holds 20 rounds, and each case contains 10 boxes.
