Description
Hornady Critical Defense is a 308 Winchester load built for short-range defensive use. It fires a 155-grain Flex Tip eXpanding (FTX) bullet, a design the manufacturer says keeps the nose cavity free of clogging when passing through heavy clothing and is intended to expand at low velocities.
The cartridge is loaded in nickel-plated brass cases with a listed muzzle velocity of 2785 fps and muzzle energy of 2669 ft-lbs. Each box holds 20 rounds, and each case contains 10 boxes.
