Hornady Superformance Varmint 204 Ruger 40gr V-Max 20 Rounds

Hornady Superformance Varmint is a centerfire rifle cartridge loaded in 204 Ruger for varmint and small game hunting. It uses Hornady Superformance propellant technology, which the manufacturer states raises muzzle velocity by 100 to 200 fps over standard loads in the same cartridges.

This 40 grain load uses a V-Max polymer-tipped bullet, which the manufacturer describes as offering match-level accuracy and rapid fragmentation on impact. The cartridge has brass casing and a rated muzzle velocity of 3900 fps with approximately 1351 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Each box holds 20 rounds.

The manufacturer states the ammunition is suitable for all action types, including semi-automatic rifles. Rated results depend on the firearm used.
