Description
Inland M1 Carbine chambered in 30 carbine. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1" on the front and "INLAND DIV. / 6359979" on the rear. The top of the barrel is marked "INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS". The right rear of the type II trigger group is stamped "INLAND" and does have the 5/6 hole opposite the mag catch. The type 3 hammer mark is unreadable. The type III magazine release is marked "M" which is an Inland mark. The cross bolt safety lever is unmarked. The type V operating slide is marked "PI" for Inland. The type 3 round bolt is marked "A.I." which is an Inland mark. The front milled sight is marked "N" which is made by Niedner Rifle Corp. of Dowagiac, MI and used by Inland. The front sight is a post set between two protective wings. The type II aperture rear sight is marked "PI" on the left which is Inland. The Type III barrel band is marked "KI" on the left side of the band which is an Inland mark. The inside of the four rivet upper handguard is marked "HI" which is made by Hillerich & Bradsby Co. for Inland. The rear left of the stock, in the sling well is marked "IO" which is Inland. The 15 round magazine is marked "BW" which is Winchester. Overall this Inland M1 Carbine is in very good surplus condition with no oiler or sling.
