Description
(SKU: 5370535) The Ithaca Model 37 Featherweight shown here is a 20 gauge pump-action shotgun chambered for 2¾" shells with an Improved Cylinder choke. This shotgun appears to be in good overall used condition, featuring a nicely preserved walnut stock and forend with handling marks consistent with normal use, along with strong remaining finish on the metal surfaces. The Model 37's lightweight design and smooth pump action have made it a favorite among upland bird hunters and sportsmen for generations. The Ithaca Model 37 was introduced in 1937 and became one of the longest-produced pump-action shotguns in American history. Based on a John Browning and Harry Howland design, the Model 37 is well known for its bottom-loading, bottom-ejecting action, making it equally friendly to right- and left-handed shooters. Serial number 960520 indicates production in the mid-1970s, placing this Featherweight in a desirable era of Ithaca manufacture and showcasing the classic craftsmanship that helped establish the Model 37's enduring reputation.
