Description
The IWI Galil Ace Gen II is a semi-automatic AK-platform pistol chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and 223 Remington. It uses a closed rotating bolt long-stroke gas piston operating system derived from the original Galil rifle, which draws on the AK-47 and Finnish Valmet RK 62 designs.
The pistol has an 8.3-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined CrMoV barrel with a 1:7 right-hand twist. A full-length Picatinny top rail and a free-float M-LOK handguard provide mounting space for optics and accessories. A left-side charging handle allows operation by the weak hand, and the pistol ships with tritium adjustable sights. Its matte black finish and polymer grip keep the weight at 7.5 pounds.
The pistol accepts AKM and AK-47 magazines and includes a 30-round Magpul PMAG Gen M3 with window. An SB Tactical SBA3 pistol stabilizing brace is fitted.
