J.P. Sauer 283T 16 Ga./9.3x72R Drilling

This J.P. Sauer, 283T is a classic German drilling (three barreled combination) gun produced by one of Europe's oldest firearms manufacturers, renowned for its precision engineering and versatility in mixed-game hunting. This particular configuration features side-by-side-16-gauge shotgun barrels atop a centered 9.3x72R rifle barrel, an obsolete but reloadable rimmed cartridge originally developed in the late 19th century with ballistics comparable to the American .38-55 Winchester, suitable for medium game at moderate ranges. Crafted with high-quality Krupp steel barrels, a robust boxlock or sidelock action, and fine walnut stock, the 283T exemplifies traditional German gunsmithing, often incorporating features like cocking indicators, selective triggers, and provisions for claw-mount scopes to ensure reliability for both winged and furred quarry in diverse field conditions. This firearm is in good condition.
