Description
The KA-BAR Backpack Kaster is a lightweight fishing system from Ka-Bar, designed to be carried on camping and outdoor trips. It is made from Ultramid and is finished in black. The handle is styled after the KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility Knife and includes a hollow storage compartment for extra line and lures. The head holds the fishing line, and a plastic clamp-like device secures the line when the Kaster is not in use.
The Kaster holds 100 yards of 8 lb. line (0.011 in. diameter) or 90 yards of 10 lb. line (0.012 in. diameter). Its storage compartment fits a lure up to 2 inches long. The product weighs 4 oz and is noted as suited to emergency packs.
