Description
The Kimber 1911 Optic Plate is a steel mounting plate for the Kimber 1911 pistol that accepts a Trijicon RMR red dot sight in place of the standard rear sight. The plate has a matte black finish and includes fixed white dot rear sights, which provide a backup sight picture if the optic fails.
The plate weighs 2.4 ounces and is listed as fitting Kimber 1911 models, but not the Super Jagare. It uses the Trijicon RMR footprint. Because it replaces the rear sight assembly, the plate is intended for owners who want an optic on a 1911 and a fixed iron sight as a fallback.
