The shell holder shell plate system hugs the cartridge case eliminating the need for shell holder decapping rods and time consuming indexing. By allowing the shell holder to float this prevents the seating rod from getting fouled with powder. These shell holders can be used with any version of the Lee Press including the Classic Commander. To use a shell holder you must remove the decapping pin as one operation. To replace a shell holder you must remove the shims which is where the shell plate system comes in handy.
